Converse All Star Design Team
Shaping the next generation by always creating and experimenting
Converse continues to empower the daring spirit of youth by celebrating freedom of expression—supporting individuals and their movements. As expectations shift, Converse evolves to ensure it remains a symbol of creativity, rebellion, and bold self-expression for the next 100 years.
Modeled after the Serena Williams Design Crew, the All Star Design Team (ASDT) is a yearly apprenticeship program that recruits artists from a range of backgrounds, heritages, and creative disciplines. For the 2021 program, co-art direction was led in partnership with Nike’s Talent Attraction & Engagement team and the Diversity Talent Innovation team, driving the narrative, story structure, and visual design.
The result was a digitally immersive experience that brought the All Star Design Team’s purpose and spirit to life—serving both as a recruiting platform and brand storytelling vehicle.

THE ENTRY POINT FOR ARTISTS
Seeking a broad range of talent from the east coast, the Converse All Star Design Team’s microsite presented hopeful candidates the opportunity to experience what could be like to design at Converse while also providing a means to apply. Centered around the Converse headquarters at Lovejoy Wharf in downtown Boston, MA the program was looking to the East Coast—to the energetic creatives—the ones who would seize the opportunity.
This microsite was the entry point for artists with unique skills and passions to join a challenging and constantly evolving program. I created all designs in Illustrator and Photoshop.
