NIKE INTRANET reimagined






PROTOTYPE
Having first-hand knowledge of the needs of Nike global employees, I helped develop the architecture of the site as well as UX and wireframe hierarchy.

Framework actualization enabled us to garner the support of all geographic partners, impacted audiences, and Nike leadership.
IMPACT
The result is a rich and immersive site for multiple audiences. The new digital intranet space allows audiences to navigate the Nike DTC immense storehouse of global information. Geography teams manage and edit their own sites with guidance from the global team. It does this by being based primarily upon human needs and secondarily upon organizational structure.
IDEA
Nike DTC (direct-to-consumer) is the fastest growing business under Nike, INC. In order to meet the needs of a digitally-driven, modern company, the DTC intranet required a major overhaul.
TARGET AUDIENCE[S]
Nike DTC executives, Geography executives and peer-partners, cross-functional collaborative teams, and in-store retail Coaches [Manager] and Athletes [Staff].
INTENT
Create a flexible, intuitive and scaleable digital intranet redesign to enable DTC employees, at any level and from every geography, a cohesive digital solution.
PROCESS
Identified my partners, the other Nike creatives from all other parts of the company who might support or endorse the work. Secured key digital Brand designers who were willing to answer my questions and to collaborate on a specific function or UI design.
We brought in the Portland based digital agency, The Program to head up programming, offer UX support and be the Nike Tech. Working with The Program really challenged my understanding of design. But with challenge comes growth and learning. And the importance of a creative and a programmer speaking a common language.
Though navigating the Nike matrix one conversation at a time with a design thinking approach, I was able to garner much from each audience. Key insights bubbled up from the data to show what each audience really needed from a DTC dedicated digital platform. Socializing my insights with leaders and sponsors along with each insight's recommended solution or next step.
